Meet the heartbeat of Little Bird! Each of our classrooms has at least two dedicated teachers. We thrive on continuity & feel fortunate to have the opportunity to support your child as they grow!
In addition to our standard curriculum, we are happy to offer weekly enrichment programs for children ages 1.5 and up! These programs include physical education, art, natural science and more - always relating directly to our current educational theme. We are fortunate enough to host guest visitors such as our local librarian, emergency services crews (& all their fun gear), musicians and more!
All LB staff members attend monthly in-service meetings and are both encouraged and supported to participate in ongoing professional development and safety training courses.
Prior to start of employment, all staff members must present all clearances as mandated by the Department of Human Services including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History, National Sex Offenders Registry and FBI Criminal History.

Hi! I am Meghan, a local Wyndmoor Momma of two girls, and one chocolate labrador!
Prior to opening LB I co-owned a children’s mobile art education program, which spanned across the greater Philadelphia area, for over 12 years. This position, coupled with my Bachelor’s Degree from La Salle University, time spent working in a variety of roles associated with early childhood education and experience as a mama inspired me to develop a supportive and inclusive environment where every child, parent and staff member feels not only welcome but valued!
We believe it takes a village to raise a child and feel school should be a comfortable extension of home. We adore our families, treat these kiddos like they are our own and feel fortunate to be included in this very important time in their lives!
Outside of LB I enjoy spending time with my family. You can find us playing outside, at the beach or at a Phillies game!

Hello all!
My name is Mel and I am so excited to be a part of Little Bird Nursery & Preschool! I am a local Wyndmoor mama to my three kiddos, Peyton, Sawyer and Boden, is 6! We also have a fluffy golden-doodle named Piper!
I absolutely love teaching and consider it a gift to get to see my students grow and learn and have fun while doing so! I hold a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in early elementary education and special education.
I will always bring a positive attitude and excitement into the classroom and I look forward to getting to know you and your amazing kiddos!

Hi! My name is Tytianna Broadwater and I am a Philadelphia native. I graduated from Science Leadership Academy High School and Moore College of Art and Design. I have a degree in Fashion Design with a minor in Textile Design and a CDA in Pre School.
I have been a gymnastics coaches for over 10 years, I currently coach at Philadelphia Gymnastics Academy. I became a pre-school teacher two years ago. I really love working with children and watching them grow and develop. My favorite part about early childhood education is doing experimenting with the kiddos. I’m excited to grow as a teach with the Little Bird team!

Rachael Mahlau-Heinert
Hello! My name is Rachael Mahlau-Heinert! I’m a recent graduate from Arcadia University with a degree in PreK-4 education and currently working through the reading specialist/TESOL certification masters program. I have spent the last few years deep diving into the variety of complex strategies, techniques, and pedagogies as I find my own teaching style. I am beyond excited to get into the classroom and spend my days with these kiddos! Outside of work, I love to spend my time playing soccer or catching the newest movie in theaters. I also have a huge passion for travel and hope to add a few more countries to my list this year!
I have been working with kids my whole life whether through babysitting, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or teaching. I am so thankful for another opportunity to use my education and experiences to help shape an inclusive, engaging, and energetic classroom!

Hi! My name is Jen Martin, a longtime resident of Springfield Township along with my husband and 3 children. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, and Special Education from Chestnut Hill College. I am proud to say I have over 20 years of experience working with children, infants through school age, in a variety of educational setting. I love exploring with my students and watching the excitement in their eyes when they discover new things.
Outside of school I enjoy day trips to the beach, scrapbooking, music, and all things Disney!

Hello! My name is Devon Markowski. I am a mother of two beautiful children. I have been an early childhood educator teacher for a little over 4 years, and I have loved every second of it. I have a big family, and have always been drawn to caring for children. I hope to one day further my education and earn a degree in ECE. I enjoy many aspects of working in a Pre-school setting, especially creating connections with the children & watching them grow into funny, caring, amazing little humans.
Outside of school I love reading, music, being outdoors, and arts & crafts!

I arrived at LB with several years of experience working with young children in both personal care and classroom settings. In my spare time you can find me snuggled up with a good book, crafting or simply enjoying time with my family.

Hi, my name is Mason Bungerz. I am from Jenkintown and graduated from Abington Senior High School. Throughout high school and after I've worked with children in a variety of capacities, including as a swim instructor, daycare teacher, and babysitter. I love working with children and am excited to continue doing so at Little Bird!

Hello, I am Madison Concepcion, an undergraduate at Drexel University, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I graduated from Abington Senior High School with National Honor Society and have been a part of my local Red Cross club for three years!
I have 5 years of childcare experience with all ages and am very excited to be a part of Little Bird.

Hello! I’m Maureen. I live in Cheltenham with my husband Andy, and our 2 amazing kids Ben and Anabelle. We have a 3 year old pit mix named Suki.
I have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and creative environment. I earned my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Post University in 2023. I have always truly loved working with children & I am thrilled to be a member of the team at Little Bird! I look forward to helping your children explore, learn, and grow.
In my free time I love being outdoors, reading, going to concerts, and spending time with my family.

Hi! My name is Quierra! I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I graduated from Cheltenham HS in 2015. I am currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Community College of Philadelphia then I will be transferring to Temple to complete my undergraduate degree.
I have 10+ years of experience with children from birth to middle school. I have worked with children in home-based, camp, and preschool settings.

Hi, my name is Sophie! After earing my bachelor's degree in Human Services from Mount St. Mary's University I moved to Philadelphia to attend Graduate School. I am currently working towards earning my EdS in school psychology.
My passion is helping kids reach their milestones and navigate through life. I have various experiences working alongside children including working within my local community college's child development program, working as a registered behavior technician at an early intervention clinic, and have caring for my many nephews and nieces!
In my spare time I enjoy watching my favorite TV shows, going to the gym, painting, and sightseeing.
I'm excited to grow and learn with the Little Bird kiddos and team members!

Hey there! Miss Leigh here, and I am super excited to be working at Little Bird with your wonderful children and these incredible colleagues. I have worked with children in a classroom setting since 2014 when I began my educational career teaching in South Korea.
Since then, I earned my M.Ed. from Antioch University of New England, received a Waldorf Teaching Certification, and lived and worked all over the country. I am now a mother of two children and am excited to be back here in my hometown.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in anthropology. I am an empath, a healer through the works of massage therapy, and I have a profound respect for animals and plants. My educational background and compassion for all beings extends to your children. I'll strive to use my knowledge and skills to provide an exceptional space for learning and growing.

My name is Ashley, I am married and have two daughters who are 12 and 10. I graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors Degree in Human Services with a focus on Children and Youth. I originally went to school for business but knew my true interest was working with children. I have worked in various preschools and daycares with children from newborn age to 5 years old. I was fortunate enough to watch children out of my home when my daughters were younger.
When not working our family enjoys spending time down the shore and at Disney!

Hi, I am Gillian! I am currently a student at Montgomery County Community College, working towards earning my degree in nursing. I have been babysitting for the last 3 years. I enjoy spending my time at the gym, being with my friends and family, and camping. For as long as I can remember, my family and I have spent our weekends in the summer at our campground where we have made lifelong friendships.

Hello everyone! My name is Mia! I am from the Philadelphia area, and I am currently pursuing my Nursing Degree in a concurrent program at Delaware County Community College & Drexel University. I love working with children of all ages and have been doing so since 2017. I have experience volunteering with children with disabilities, and I also have babysitting experience. My hopes are to take all the skills that I gather in all my childcare experiences and apply it to my future nursing career helping & healing in a pediatric setting. In my spare time, I love listening to & creating music, being in nature, and spending time with my family, friends, and cat Lily.

Hi! My name is Natalie Swan. I'm from Plymouth Meeting, graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in 2023, and now study Psychology and History at West Virginia University.
Throughout my whole life I've been surrounded by children, whether through family, babysitting, or working as a camp counselor, so being around kids feels natural to me! Outside of work, I love exercising, reading, traveling, and spending lots of time outside.
I'm so fortunate to be a part of the Little Bird team and I can't wait for all the fun we will have!

Hello! My name is Ava Voutsinos! I am from the Elkins Park area, and I graduated from Abington Senior High School. I found my passion for working with children during high school while coaching for our local cheer program. I find working with children to be incredibly fulfilling and I am thrilled to be a part of Little Bird!

Hi! My name is Skye Fellus! I am from the Abington area, and I graduated from Abington Senior High School. I am an undergraduate student at Temple University, majoring in Criminal Justice. For fun I play violin, tennis, and spend time with friends/family. I am also passionate about animal rights! I have always loved teaching and being around kiddos! I know how I would want my future children to be treated by day care teachers, so I make a point to treat all of them as if they are my own! The safety and happiness of the kids is most important to me. I’m so excited that Little Bird has welcomed me, and I look forward to all of the fun we will have!
